MAGIC BARS

Magic Bars! One of my favorite holiday treats also known as 7 Layer Bars. They can be so sweet traditionally but this year I completely transformed them into perfection.
Lower carb, gluten free and half as sweet as the traditional recipe yet the flavor is spot on.
These are hard to save for Santa. This recipe is easy and for sure a keeper. I'm in love with the sugar free condensed milk and seem to be adding it to coffee.Happy baking. Enjoy!

Ingredients
  

  • Crust:
  • 1 ½ cups almond flour
  • 1 egg
  • ¼ cup sugar sweetener granulated (monk fruit or allulose)
  • ¼ cup butter melted
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • Filling:
  • 1 recipe of sugar free condensed milk find online
  • ½ cup unsweetened shredded coconut
  • ¼ cup chopped pecans
  • ¼ cup sugar-free butterscotch chips
  • ½ cup Lily's sugar-free chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven 400 degrees. Line an 8x8 pan with parchment paper. In a small bowl mix all crust ingredients.
  • Stir until well incorporated. Transfer into the baking dish, spread out crust evenly. Take a fork and poke some holes.
  • Bake for about 10 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  • Make a sugar-free condensed milk. Combine nuts in a bowl with the shredded coconut and chocolate/butterscotch chips. Sprinkle mixture over the crust, leaving about 2 tbsp remaining.
  • Pour condensed milk evenly over the crust. Sprinkle the remaining 2 tbsp. Bake for about 10 minutes at 350. Take out and keep in the fridge for about 2 hours or until the condensed milk has completely firmed up. Yum!
